9 piece Ska / Soul Band
Based in Hull, this 9 piece band has a fair turnover in personell, although the main protagonists remain - Kipper the lead singer, Steve on Bass, and Louise on vocals with a range of talented musicians to back them up. They were voted Best Band in the Live on Stage Reader's Poll for four years running, and they have their own web site at www.thebrats.co.uk The picture shown is an old one from 2000.

Male Guitar Vocalist
Now based in County Durham with his partner Maureen Foley, Jim lived and worked in the Hull area after returning from New Zealand where he performed in two Irish Bands - "The Mulligans" and "Colonial Fair". Best known for his wide selection of Irish Music, he is just as capable of playing Pop and Middle of the Road material. Photo shows him with Rose Sutton - co-founder of the Golden Leaves Charity at a surprise farewll party they threw for him in May 2003.
